Professional Practice

The Professional Practice domain was the least forthcoming topic in my explorations to complete this project. For one, Assessment Practice in music education is a rabbit hole I frequent without resolution. For reasons I detail in that section, I question the value of a traditional assessment model. It calls in to question, what is the goal of this course?  Followed up by the section on Professionalism and Executive Functioning, the way I understand these categories I am not sure how they are related.  In running a program that requires outside of class time commitment, tight calendar management and communication, and coordination with the broader school community, executive functioning and professionalism are a necessary skill set to have an effective elective program.
